Teaching Style

Joan's style of yoga is vinyasa flow mixed with creative and safe sequences that are influenced from her studies in ashtanga yoga. Her teaching is fun, upbeat, and effective. She teaches vinyasa flow mixed with sequences that balance the body and improve mental concentration and quality of breath. She draws attention to breath and alignment, adding vinyasa to heat and cleanse the body. Her classes are always evolving and her sequences are fun and well thought out. She plays appropriate music in her night time classes to help students mellow after their workday. Her blend of lightness mixed with a strong level of intensity is open to all levels and can help anyone move deeper in their practice.
